The two Scottish sporting stars will be in action together when the DP World Tour rolls up at Wentworth next week for the showpiece event.
MacIntyre is currently enjoying the best season of his career so far, with victories at the Scottish Open and Canadian Open on the back of his victorious Ryder Cup debut last year.
Ready to see what sort of shape Murray’s golf game is in, he said: ‘Andy is a hero to so many people in Scotland — and across the world — and it’s pretty exciting to be playing alongside him in his BMW PGA Championship debut.

The pro-am at Wentworth always attracts a star-studded field, with Murray joined by the likes of Gareth Bale among several other global sporting icons and Hollywood A-listers.
