ZABARNYI TO PSG: BIG STEP FORWARD IN THE DEAL

The transfer of Illia Zabarnyi to Paris Saint-Germain is getting closer. Bournemouth, his current club, is reportedly on the verge of securing his replacement.

PSG may finally be clear to complete the signing. According to reports, LOSC defender Bafodé Diakhité has reached a contractual agreement with Bournemouth. The Frenchman has been identified as the Cherries’ top target to replace Zabarnyi, whose move to PSG is now more likely than ever.

PSG has made signing a central defender a top priority this summer, and Zabarnyi is at the top of their list. Talks between the two clubs have been ongoing for weeks and remain complex, but Paris is now ready to meet Bournemouth’s €60 million asking price.

Although the registration window for the Club World Cup closed on July 3, ruling Zabarnyi out of that competition, negotiations continue actively. Bournemouth’s move for Diakhité is a strong indicator that the Ukrainian defender is on his way to the French capital.
