GERMANY/FRANCE – LES BLEUS LINE-UP ACCORDING TO THE PRESS: WITH CHERKI AND LUCAS HERNANDEZ

This Sunday, Equipe de France will play in the 3rd place match of the Nations League against Germany at 3pm at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. On the eve of the match, Le Parisien and L’Equipe tried to guess the team that will be fielded by coach Didier Deschamps. The match will involve 3 Paris Saint-Germain players, all French: Lucas Hernandez, Warren Zaïre-Emery and Désiré Doué. Only Hernandez will start.

Le Parisien (4-2-3-1) –

Mbappé

Thuram – Cherki – Kolo Muani

Guendouzi – Tchouaméni

Digne – L. Hernandez – Pavard – Gusto

Maignan.

L’Equipe (4-2-3-1) –

Mbappé

Thuram – Cherki – Kolo Muani

Rabiot – Tchouaméni

Digne – L. Hernandez – Badé – Gusto

Maignan.

Each team is credible, especially as the press is often quite reliable about Deschamps’ choices. Even if there may be a few surprises when the official announcement is made about 1h30 before kick-off, especially as there are slight doubts here. So we’re keeping a certain amount of caution.

But we can easily expect a few changes from Thursday’s 5-4 defeat by Spain, between sporting choices and the need for rest. Lucas Hernandez should get his chance in defence, while Zaïre-Emery is likely to be on the bench again.

Above all, Rayan Cherki (21-year-old striker, currently with Olympique Lyonnais but on the verge of departure) is set to make his first start after a sensational debut against the Spaniards. An eagerly awaited moment.
