FRANK WARREN NAMES SHOCK ALTERNATIVE OPPONENT TO OLEKSANDR USYK FOR DANIEL DUBOIS - AS THE BRIT EYES RETURN TO THE RING AFTER BEATING ANTHONY JOSHUA

- Frank Warren has now named a potential alternative opponent to Usyk
Frank Warren has thrown a shock name into the mix to face IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois next.
Dubois is expected to return to the ring this summer after defending his title by stopping Anthony Joshua inside five rounds at Wembley Stadium last September.
A unification clash with Oleksandr Usyk has been mooted, with Dubois eyeing revenge after losing their first fight in August 2023.
But Dubois' promoter, Warren, is not throwing all his eggs in one basket, and has suggested that his fighter could face veteran heavyweight Derek Chisora instead.
He told Sky Sports: 'Chisora is [an IBF mandatory]. He won it in his last fight and everyone knew what the fight was going to be for.
'He is the mandatory to our man, "Dangerous Dan [Dubois]", so that's the position he's in.'
Chisora turned 41 in December, and has been beaten in two previous world title fights by Vitali Klitschko and Tyson Fury.
He beat former Joshua opponent, Otto Wallin, in February in a fight dubbed 'The Last Dance', and he is not expected to fight in the UK again.
However, he has stated that he wants to have one more fight, which would be his 50th as a professional.
Warren has now hinted that his final hurrah could be against Dubois, and even revealed he is open to walking Chisora to the ring along with fellow promoter Eddie Hearn to mark how they have both played a significant part in his career.
'He wants a big fight to go out on,' Warren explained. 'Eddie [Hearn] and I have had a couple of chats today and in due course will let people know our views on what we'll do.
'We both have been involved in his career, he started off with me, been with me a long time, was with me for the last few fights.
'We want to deliver that 50th fight. I want to work something between us that we both [Warren and Hearn] walk him out.'
