WHAT HAPPENED?

The Welsh club came back from behind to beat League Two champions Stockport 2-1 in their final game of a memorable season. After Connor Lemonheigh-Evans handed Stockport a first-half lead, Ollie Palmer and Andy Cannon scored a goal each for the hosts as they ended the 2023/24 campaign on a high.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Red Dragons secured a second consecutive promotion this season after securing a spot in the English Football League for the first time in 15 years last summer. The club eventually finished second in League Two with 88 points from 46 games, just four behind champions Stockport.

The Hollywood star quoted one of the club's full-time X posts to share a message for the fans as he wrote, "Huge @Wrexham_AFC win and an incredible finish to another season and another promotion. Congrats to league champions, @StockportCounty … we’ll see you next year in League One."

The players will now enjoy a well-earned break before Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side get back on the pitch on July 24 when they take on Chelsea in a pre-season friendly in California.
