Jude Bellingham has revealed he felt ‘dead’ during drab goalless draw against Slovenia on Tuesday night.

England delivered a listless performance in their final Group C fixture adding to the criticism the team has faced since the start of the tournament.

And Bellingham has revealed that fatigue was a major factor in Cologne earlier this week, saying: ‘In the last game I was absolutely dead but you hear them (supporters) singing and chanting…

‘There's a lot of negativity outside the stadium and the camp and I think it's important that we remember fans in the stadium are the ones that are going to give us the energy.

‘So don't worry about the ones who aren't there. We’ve got to keep using that energy and feeling we get from them.’

The Real Madrid star got off to a flyer at Euro 2024 by heading in the only goal of England's victory against Serbia.

However, his two most recent displays against Denmark and Slovenia have been subdued in comparison to his usual lofty performances.

If England are to play in the final, Bellingham might have to play an additional four games.

Bellingham scored 23 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions as Real Madrid won both the LaLiga title and Champions League.

Southgate and England will hope Bellingham will be back to his best when they face Slovakia in the Round of 16 on Sunday.
