Belgium's kit manufacturer have come under fire after players were left drenched in sweat early into their clash with Romania.

Roberto Martinez's men picked up their first victory of Euro 2024 after securing a 2-0 win thanks to goals by Youri Tielemans and Kevin De Bruyne.

However, Belgium players bizarrely became soaked with sweat minutes into the match and continued to retain moisture throughout.

And fans took notice on social media as they questioned the quality of the Adidas kit, with some claiming watch the match made them 'uncomfortable'.

One said: 'What is wrong w the adidas kits this summer? it is genuinely uncomfortable to watch the belgium players run around at this point'.

Another wrote: 'Belgium kits are so bad. Why do they soak up the sweat like that making players look so drenched '.

'Bloody ‘ell! I thought #Adidas was one of the best sports brands..?! There ain’t NO sweat evaporating from these Belgium shirts!' a third fan posted on X.

A fourth mirrored those views, saying: 'These Belgium shirts seem to have a real sweat-repelling issue'.

It's not the first time an issue like this has occurred in the sport over the past year.

In September 2023 there were complaints from the Aston Villa squad in regards to their shirts made by Manchester-based sportswear brand Castore.

Villa's stars were said to have become uncomfortable, thanks to running around in heavy shirts, and voiced their concerns to the club.

The Midlands club have since change kit suppliers after striking a deal with Adidas from the start of the new 2024-25 season.
